Product Overview

With the self-developed isothermal amplification technology ERA, GenDx has developed a set of combined enzymes that can efficiently amplify trace DNA/RNA templates. Through enzyme engineering, specific tool enzymes from bacteria, viruses or bacteriophages are modified and mutated, followed by screening of their functions. Different tests and tools will be used to optimize the combination, so as to obtain the best amplification system. The modified DNA recombinase is combined with the primer to form a protein/DNA compound, then the homologous sequence is found in double stranded DNA and DNA synthesis is started. The target sequence on the template is exponentially amplified. Because of the high specificity of ERA, the occurrence of mismatch is highly eliminated, thus reducing the probability of fall positive results. ERA technology also has high sensitivity and can amplify trace nucleic acid templates to detectable levels. Specific genes can be amplified and qualitatively detected at a constant temperature (37-42℃).
